Milan, Rome and Turin are the top three cities with the highest number of job offers. This was revealed by research coordinated by the InfoJobs platform. According to the new Labour Market Observatory, the first half of 2023 recorded over 200,000 advertisements and presents a dynamic and proactive scenario. In particular, ‘what is growing and evolving is the way companies look for new resources’. At regional level, Lombardy stands out with 31% of the Italian total.

Milan, Rome and Turin on the podium in terms of cities

Returning to the cities with the highest number of job offers, Milan tops the top 5 (11.4%), followed by Rome (5.3%) and Turin (5%). Sharing fourth place are Brescia and Bologna(4.3%), while Bergamo (4.2%) in fifth place. The provinces of Monza and Brianza (7.2%), Varese (6.1%), Mantua (5.7%), Cremona (4.6%), Como (3.7%), Pavia and Lecco (2.9%), Lodi (1.6%) and Sondrio (0.6%). 

Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna and Veneto at the top among the regions

At regional level, Lombardy emerges with 31% of the Italian total, followed by Emilia-Romagna (18%) and Veneto (13.5%). The fourth place is occupied by Piedmont (9%) and the fifth by Lazio (6.2%).

The most sought-after professional categories

As far as the professional categories that received the most interest from companies are concerned, in first place is the category Workers, Production, Quality (16.4%), followed by Administration, Accounting, Secretarial (7.5%) and in third place Purchasing, Logistics, Warehousing (6.2%). In fourth place was Retail, GDO, Retail (5.1%) and in fifth, IT and Telecommunications (4.7%).
