Fiorentina are expected to see manager Vincenzo Italiano depart the club at the end of the current season.

Italiano has elevated Fiorentina’s profile during his time there and while they reached the final of the Conference League last season, they are still very much in the competition this season.

SportItalia have reported about the Italian’s future, stating that he will leave La Viola at the conclusion of the campaign. Both the parties have agreed to bid farewell and the expectation is that the departure will happen, probably irrespective of what happens this season for Fiorentina. The exit has been described as ‘mutual’ by the report.

Fiorentina will look to replace Italiano ahead of next season and the expectation is that former Lazio and Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri will be high up on their shortlist.

Italiano has been linked with Napoli in the past but the move didn’t go through last summer and with the Partenopei still look for a permanent, it would be interesting to see if the avenue opens up again.
