On today’s show we were blessed with the presence of our two esteemed colleagues from ABC’s Pacific Local Journalism Network who’ve been bringing us some of the most important new stories from across the Pacific – Fijian journalist, Lice Movono and Tongan journalist, Marian Kupu.
Lice and Marian spoke about the pride they carry being journalists in the Pacific and getting to share our stories with the world.
In the second hour we kicked off with the News Footlines where we heard reports about Vanuatu topping the world happiness index, and new direct flights just announced from Brisbane to Palau.
We also checked in for our regular Reel Talk segment with Stephanie Bandi, where she reviewed the 1980 Italian horror film, Eaten Alive which is about a woman who goes looking for her sister who is missing in the jungles of Papua New Guinea.
