Inter won the Serie A yesterday after a 2-1 win over Milan and this has now taken Simone Inzaghi over Jose Mourinho for successful managers at the Nerazzurri.

Inzaghi won the Serie A for the first time in his managerial career yesterday and for the second time in his life combined, as he won the title with Lazio as a player as well. But for Inter, it was his sixth piece of silverware, having previously won the Supercoppa Italiana three times and the Coppa Italia two times in a row.

Winning six trophies at Inter has now placed Inzaghi at the third spot for the most successful managers for the Nerazurri in the club’s history, behind Roberto Mancini and Helenio Herrera. In the process, Inzaghi has now gone past Mourinho, who won five trophies during his time at the Nerazzurri.

Mourinho had won the Champions League at Inter and that is perhaps one thing that will always set him apart and he won five titles in a space of two seasons, with Inzaghi having taken three seasons now.
