Roma will be tempted to sell captain Lorenzo Pellegrini if a reasonable offer arrives this summer transfer window.

According to a report by Daniele Longo, Roma will sell Lorenzo Pellegrini if an offer of around €50 million appears during the next transfer window. The Italian midfielder is having an incredible season with the Giallorossi and continued his top form into the international break as he netted against Ecuador, his first goal in over two years with Italy.

Roma have obligations to meet in respect to UEFA and must generate €40 million in capital gains by June 30 to avoid legal proceedings or a transfer ban against them.

Fans and the board alike would have wanted to keep their academy graduate for as long as possible but the club will find it difficult to reject a decent offer.

Club management will discuss with the player and manager Daniele De Rossi in the coming days to determine his future. Roma know that they will not be required to offload any more crucial players from their squad if Pellegrini leaves the club as that would satisfy the demands of UEFA.

The Giallorossi are yet to receive any concrete interest from European clubs but it is only a matter of time before the bids arrive.
