Roma star Paulo Dybala has provided an insight into the meaning behind his eye-catching goal celebration earlier this evening.

Roma, and Dybala, were of course back in action a short time ago.

Eyeing a return to winning ways on the back of the international break, Jose Mourinho’s men welcomed Udinese to the Stadio Olimpico for a Serie A clash.

When all was said and done, the evening’s hosts emerged on the right side of a 3-1 result, owing to goals on the part of all of Gianluca Mancini, Stephan El Shaaraway, and the aforementioned Dybala.

After finding the net in typically composed fashion inside the closing ten minutes, meanwhile, the latter turned heads, in appearing to aim a ‘shush’ gesture towards the home crowd.

Speaking to the media post-match, Dybala was therefore asked for an explanation for his actions.

And the Argentine went on to hint that his gesture was aimed at an unnamed critic, who has seemingly called into question the 30-year-old’s commitment to the Roma cause.

“Somebody talks too much for no reason,” Dybala told DAZN, as cited by Voce Giallo Rossa.

“I always try to give the best for my team,” he concluded.
