Serie A side Napoli seem set to make a two-year offer in an attempt to land Stefano Pioli, who is set to leave Milan.

Pioli seems destined to leave the Rossoneri at the end of the season and the side have been knocked out of the Europa League and have seen Inter win the Scudetto after having been beaten by them in the Serie A yesterday. Pioli has been linked with a move to Napoli in recent weeks and the links seem to be fairly concrete.

Il Mattino (via CN24) report that as of now, Pioli is in pole position to become the next Napoli manager. Club CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis is keen on him and has been in touch with the Milan boss for many months now and he is waiting for his Milan deal to be terminated before making an offer.

De Laurentiis will offer Pioli a two-year deal worth €3 million a season and that is an offer which is very much within Napoli’s current budget. The Milan boss has put Napoli on hold as he wants to finish the season with Milan as well as they can, but he has no intentions of taking a break and he wants to stay in Italy. Napoli’s interest in him is the most concrete, as of now.

Having said that, Napoli will only move once his deal with Milan has been terminated.
