Juventus boss Max Allegri was recently involved in a heated exchange with his players, amidst doubts regarding his future at the club.

The Bianconeri had lost 1-0 to Lazio in the Serie A last weekend and the incidents took place during that game. Fabiana della Valle has reported that after the loss, there was a heated exchange involving the players and the under-pressure club manager.

Once the heat had settled down, Allegri got his ‘loyalists’ to speak to the squad and calm them down. The loyalists include Danilo, Alex Sandro, Adrien Rabiot and Wojciech Szczesny, with the reason for the heated exchange said to be the fact that Allegri wanted to push the players in what has now become a top four race.

He wanted to push the team’s experienced players to make sure that they qualify for the Champions League, with Allegri aware of the fact that his future hinges on whether the Champions League arrives next season or not and whether Juve win the Coppa Italia or not. Clashes against Roma, Milan and Bologna are coming up and they could decide his fate.
