Serie A giants Inter seem set to receive a new loan from an English-based fund and expectation is that the funds will be received soon.

La Gazzetta dello Sport today state that in recent weeks, club president Steven Zhang had started negotations with funds to seek another loan and talks have now accelerated. The new partner has been described as an England-based fund and the move is well advanced to a point where it can close soon.

The fund would be willing to guarantee Inter a loan of €400 million with an interest of 12 percent, which is similar to the one received from Oaktree. It would be a three-year loan and it would be used to return the loan from Oaktree so that he can cancel the pledge on the club’s shares, thus guaranteeing a longer stay at the club for himself.

This would have to be done before the 20th of May, with Zhang very keen on keeping the club with himself. The club is currently valued at €1.2 billion right now and despite Zhang’s insistence on keeping it, a significant offer can change his mind.
