Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Italiano is now said to be nearing a move to Napoli in the summer.
While it was reported yesterday that there is a general agreement between the two parties regarding a move, a report from Il Mattino (via CN24) states that the move is now inching closer and heading towards a potential finishing line even though Gian Piero Gasperini’s candidature still remains relevant.
Gasperini asked for more time to make his decision about the Partenopei and this has made sure that Italiano is nearing the switch, with the ex-Spezia boss set to leave Fiorentina in the summer. He has no reservations about the move and has expressed his willingness to Napoli for many weeks now, with an agreement already in place with new Partenopei sporting director Giovanni Manna.
Italiano’s agent – Diego Nappi is Neapolitan himself and he will soon hold decisive talks with Napoli to close the move, with Italiano’s agent also playing in his favour in the saga.
