We have expert betting tips for the cards this Friday at Kembla Grange and Pakenham.

There is plenty of value available with bookmakers at the Friday meetings and we have our best bets across the two cards.

Kembla Grange

Race 1. (13:15) 4 Pines Brewing Company Maiden (1600m)

#2 – Eau De Vie @ $2.15

Eau De Vie comes off three straight placings and the last two came in the city.

The Freedman-trained filly finished third at Canterbury behind Alfano before placing behind Hollywood Hero at Warwick Farm, who has since run at the top level.

Drawing barrier nine isn’t ideal but she has time to find cover.

Race 4. (15:05) PFD Food A J Bert BM94 (1200m)

#5 – Bacchanalia @ $2.60

Bacchanalia is the class runner of this field with four wins and four placings from 15 career starts.

The James Cummings-trained son of Exceed and Excel runs his best races over the distance and that bodes well over 1200m.

His odds have drifted a touch, but we’re happy with the $2.60 available.

Race 5. (15:40) Kembla Grange Stayers Cup BM68 (2400m)

#1 – Essential Sky @ $9.50

Essential Sky needs to bounce back after a disappointing run at Randwick, but she’s good enough to fire.

The John Sargent-trained mare is a four-time winner, so the class is there, and her best form comes over this staying distance.

3kg comes off and the odds are worth snapping up.

Race 7. (16:55) Peroni Kembla Grange Classic (1600m)

#7 – Call Di @ $4.20

Call Di looked good when winning at Randwick two back before placing behind Shuffle Dancer at Sandown.

Shuffle Dancer is a Saturday-grade runner, so the three-year-old filly should be well-suited to this race.

It’s not an easy field, but she has more upside than most here.

Race 1. (17:45) Cookers Bulk Oil System Maiden (1200m)

#4 – Brave Mead @ $2.60

Brave Mead had solid betting support on debut when placing at Pakenham, and we’re happy to stick with him.

The Maher/Eustace-trained colt by Brave Smash runs for the same owners as the sire, so there is a good connection.

He needs only luck from the wide draw to beat this field.

Race 3. (18:45) Superior Food Services BM64 (1000m)

#5 – Sweetened @ $2.35

Sweetened was too slick for them on debut at Geelong before rising sharply in grade.

The three-year-old filly by Zoustar ran behind the likes of English Riviera, Wee Nessy, and Magic Time in the city, so the form checks out.

Jumpout form reads well and the odds are shortening.

Race 5. (19:45) Sportsbet Bet with Mates Maiden (1400m)

#8 – Quick Fingers @ $7

Value is with Quick Fingers, who has three placings from seven starts, including one over the distance.

The three-year-old daughter of Caravaggio comes off a third placing at Warrnambool at big odds, so she is being respected here.

Barrier five is ideal and we’re happy with the $7 odds.

Race 7. (20:45) Sportsbet Bet with Mates BM64 (1400m)

#7 – Smokin’ Toff @ $6.50

Smokin’ Toff owns three wins from 12 starts, including two over 1400m. She could start her preparation with a win at value odds on Friday.

The five-year-old daughter of Toorak Toff finished fourth at Sandown last start in November and the form has stacked up, with Life Lessons and So You See running in the first two.

Take the value odds available with bookmakers.
